BERTA RITZE
Mrs. Berta Ritze, 80, of Moline, Ill., died March 13 at the Moline Lutheran hospital.
Services were held March 16 at the Knox-Larson Funeral Home in Rock Island, Ill., with Rev. Eldor Haake, pastor., of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Moline officiating. Burial was in the Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery.
She was born Sept. 13, 1901, the daughter of Thomas and Margaretha Ahrendsen Carstensen in Oxford Junction.
She married Clarence Ritze Dec. 24, 1925 in Davenport. The couple lived in Rock Island, Ill., until 1975 when they moved to Moline.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Albert of Moline, Ill., two daughters, Mrs. Audrey Holland, Channelview, Texas, and Mrs. Rita Miller, Rock Island, Ill; five grandchildren, a great granddaughter, a sister, Mrs. Frieda Smith, Rib Lake, Wis.; two brothers, John Carstensen, Oxford Junction, and Albert Carstensen, Lisbon.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and brother. Chuck Carstensen, Oxford Junction, and Fred Pegorick, Wyoming, were among the pallbearers.
