--Clarice Elizabeth (McIntyre) Foreman of Johnson County died Wednesday morning, May 25, 2011. Born in Jackson County, Missouri, August 19, 1914, the daughter of James and Isadora Saunders McIntyre.
--She married Lester B. Foreman, June 17, 1933, and they had celebrated 60 years together at the time of his death in December, 1993. Mrs. Foreman is survived by her daughter, Sandra Foreman Walker and her husband Dennis, of Chesterfield, VA. grandsons, Bradford Walker and his wife, Sharon, of Loch Lloyd, MO, and Brent Walker, of Twisp, WA, and great-grandson, Farleigh Walker, also of Twisp.
--A lifetime greater Kansas City resident, Mrs. Foreman has lived in Claridge Court since 1995. Always an active Church member, she began teaching Sunday school at the age of 14 at the Leeds Baptist Church. She was founding President of the Keystone Class of the South Presbyterian Church.
--She was also a member of the Village Presbyterian Church where she served as Elder, Bell Ringer, Officer of the Church Women, Classic Citizens, and Friendship Clubs. She was a member of Village Church Cancel Choir for 50 years.
--Cheerfully serving her community in many organizations, she was President of the Leeds School PTA, and the Alpha Xi Delta Mothers' Club. She served on the Boards of Directors of the Kansas City PTA, Indian Fields Homes Association, and on the Regional Executive Board & National Council of Camp Fire Girls, who awarded her The Guilck Award.
--In addition, she was a member of Chapter GM PEO, People to People, League of Women Voters, Friends of Johnson Co Library, Presidents and Past Presidents Club, Philharmonic Association, Lyric Opera League, 40 Year Ago Club, Johnson County Republican Women's Club, and the Woman's City Club. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
--A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, May 28, 2011, at the Village Presbyterian Church chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Music Department of Village Presbyterian Church, Prairie Village, KS or to a charity of your choice.
