Joseph Monroe “Joe” Leal, 71, of Yukon, OK passed from this life on Friday, September 30, 2016 at Integris Canadian Valley Hospital in Yukon, OK. He was born March 19, 1945 in Oklahoma City, OK to Alfred and Beatrice (Taylor) Leal.

A 1963 graduate of Del City High School, Joe worked in retail furniture sales for 32 years before retiring. Joe never met a stranger. He loved people and making new friends. Joe enjoyed working in his yard and landscaping his property alongside his wife Jeannie. He took great pride in his work. His favorite love was his family and especially his grandchildren. He always made time to attend their school programs and supported his grandsons Jackson and Sawyer by attending their football games and taking them fishing. He also had a passion for Yukon Miller Football and the Oklahoma Sooners. Joe was loved by all who knew and loved him. He will be sorely missed but will remain in our hearts forever.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Jackson Monroe Leal.

Joe is survived by his wife Jeannie Kay Leal of the home; sister, Ann Klock and husband Harold of Midwest City, OK; brother, Alfred Gene Leal and wife Sandra of Midwest City, OK; daughter, Erin Rausch and husband Jason of Moore, OK; son, Joseph Monroe Leal and wife Angela of Choctaw, OK; daughter, Amy Tsoodle and husband William Anthony of Moore, OK; stepdaughter, Angela Young of Yukon, OK; stepson, Jason Young and wife Kerri of Yukon, OK; stepdaughter, Alesha Hughey of Yukon, OK; grandchildren: Jackson Young, Sawyer Young, Presley Hughey and Aubree Tsoodle, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at the Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel, Yukon, OK, with interment following at the Yukon Cemetery.
