Note: no death or burial record has been found for Daniel. It is very likely that he and his wife Mahala are buried in the Middletown Cemetery in Grafton, VT where their daughter Mahala has a grave marker and where both of his parents have grave markers.

Daniel was the son of Daniel and Mary (Wise) Wise of Grafton, Vermont. He was married there 19 Aug 1802 to Mahala Fuller, the daughter of Thomas Fuller and Hopestill Lethbridge of Wrentham, Mass. Daniel is almost certainly the one of his name enumerated on the 1810 and 1820 censuses for Grafton, VT. In 1830 he was living in Rockingham (Windham Co.), VT as a male aged 50-59, with many females, including one aged 50-59 and one aged 70-79. This suggests that living with him are possible daughters and granddaughters, as well as his wife Mahala, and his mother. His parents both have extant grave markers in the Middletown Cemetery in Grafton, and his daughter, Mahala (b. 1815) also has a marker there.
