Donna May “Squeak” Crawford, age 68, of Quincy, died Thursday, September 29, 2016, at 6:35 pm in her home.

Squeak was born August 14, 1948 in Walla Walla, Washington, the daughter of Wilburn G. and Laura C. Lugena Thomas. She married John Glenn Crawford on March 10, 1975 in Quincy. He preceded her in death on July 10, 2008.

Squeak was a well known bartender in Quincy. Over the years she tended bar at the VFW Post, The Copper Kettle, The Grove Inn, and most recently, The Oakley-Lindsey Center and The Harrison Pub, where she worked for 17 years. When she was younger, Squeak ran a thrift store with her sister, Bonnie. In her spare time, she enjoyed making crafts, crocheting, and going to garage sales. Squeak was a true people person who never met a stranger. She loved helping people, regardless of who they were. She enjoyed spending time with her dogs and with her bird. Squeak was the happiest when she was surrounded by people she loved. Whether she was meeting friends for daily coffee, or fattening up her family with her amazing cooking, she was known to laugh often.

Survivors include: two daughters, Lorena Marie (and her significant other, William Baldwin) Crawford, and Laura Jean Huff both of Quincy; three granddaughters: Haley Marie Crawford of Florissant, CO, Shelby Marie Orr of Quincy, and Brandi Necole Marie (Cedrick) Ferguson of El Paso, TX; a great grandson, Kekoa Ferguson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband John, Squeak was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Robert Damon Huff, a sister, Bonnie Hutton, and a brother, Bill Thomas.
