Mr. Richard “Chop” Newsome age 55 of Hudsonville passed away September 26, 2016 after battling cancer for four years. He was preceded in death by his mother, Yoshiko Bedwell. Surviving are: his wife, Barb; children Jeremy Newsome and David (Mimoza) Taylor; grandchildren Liliana, Lyla, and Jackson; siblings Shirley Forrester, Debbie (Ron) AuFrance, Monica (Dan) Knoll, Larry (Annette) Dennis; and his nephew Randy AuFrance. He was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force after serving for four years. Chop was an avid sports fan and his favorite teams were U of M, the Detroit Tigers, and Detroit Lions. A funeral service will be held Friday October 7 at 3 PM at Arsulowicz Brothers Remembrance Mortuary, 3525 Remembrance Rd NW. A funeral luncheon will be immediately following the service at the Guest House, 634 Stocking Ave NW. The family will receive Friday 1:30 – 3:00 PM at the funeral home before the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations toward the funeral expenses would be appreciated.
