Billie D. Moor, age 82, of Lincoln, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at the Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia, Missouri. He was born on August 30, 1934 in Benton County, Missouri the son of Carl and Beulah (Neas) Moor. He grew up at graduated from Lincoln High School in 1953. He enlisted in the United States Army from 1955 until his honorable discharge in 1957, serving 18 months in Germany.

On December 7, 1957 he was united in marriage to Nella Kreisel at the Mt. Pleasant Church near Lincoln. They made their home in Kansas City for two years while Bill worked for Milgrams Grocery Store. In 1959 they returned to Lincoln and he worked for Sam & Jim’s Food Center, purchasing the business in 1969. He owned and operated Bill’s Supermarket for 39 years, retiring on October 1, 2008.

Bill was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Church and later the First Baptist Church of Lincoln, serving both as a deacon. He was active in the Gideon’s International, served on the Board of Directors at the Baptist Ridge Camp and was a member of the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce. He enjoyed bird hunting and fishing and loved his trips to Bennett Springs.

He is survived by three daughters; Sandi Keiper and her husband David, of Davidson, North Carolina, Lenell Eason, and her husband Darrel, of Lincoln and Sheila Maldonado, and her husband Tony, of Anchorage, Alaska, five grandchildren; Jason Waggoner, Katlin Wolf, and her husband Garrett, Lerin Eason, Anthony Maldonado and Ton Von Maldonado, two great grandchildren, Jaxon and Jenson Waggoner and a sister Charlene Weing, of Kansas City.

Funeral Services for Billie D. Moor will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 1, 2016 at the First Baptist Church of Lincoln. Graveside Services and Interment will follow at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery near Lincoln. Memorial contributions may be made to the Gideon’s c/o the Davis-Miller Funeral Home 119 W. Main Street Lincoln, Missouri 65338.
