Mary Lynn Huff Gunn, 71, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2016, after a heroic fight with cancer.

Born July 18, 1945 in Springville, Utah, Mary was the third child of four to Max Huff and Leah Hafen Huff. She married and was sealed to her high school sweetheart, Stanley Richard Gunn II, on August 20, 1965, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. They are the proud parents of five children: Marnie (Mark) Anderson, Scott (Sherry) Gunn, Todd (Miyuki) Gunn, Gregory (Elizabeth) Gunn, and Andrew (Lyndsay) Gunn; eighteen grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Mary is survived by her mother, Leah Hafen Huff, and brother, Kent (Betty) Huff. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, father, and sisters, LaJean and Kathy.

Mary lived in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, for 41 years during which time she served in many volunteer capacities both in her church and in the local parent-teacher association.

Mary had a strong testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. She showed her love for her Heavenly Father and the Savior Jesus Christ through the numerous acts of unselfish service to family, friends, and others. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and will be greatly missed.

Graveside services will be held on October 11, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at the Springville City Cemetery, 400 South, 200 West, Springville, Utah.
