Leo's family moved to Portland, Oregon, in about 1915. It was there that he met best friend, George Novak, his first wife, Loween Boynton (married 1922), and began his career as a stereographer for the newspaper industry.
In the mid 1940s, Leo's career took him to California, and then on to Dallas, Texas, where he worked for the Dallas Times Herald for many years.
Leo married Irma Elizabeth Blackstone on Dec 28, 1968, in Dallas, who survives him.
Preceded in death by his parents, and brother Genious.
Leo was married at least six times. The four other wives are:
