Carolyn Shepard, 77, of Shelbyville, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2016, at the daughter's residence in Shelbyville. Born April 11, 1939, in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of Earl Walton and Thelma(Miles)Walton. Carolyn married William Shepard on May 23, 1980, and preceded her in death June 10, 2007. Carolyn is survived by seven children; Karen Berry and husband, Marvin; Lisa Rohman and husband, Mark; Sheri Richardson; Larry Harding; Michael Shepard; Laura Losey; and William Blocher and wife, Susan; stepchildren; Teaki Markley, Steven Shepard, Stormy Jimenez, Beth Hudson, Lisa Welch and Christi Gadd; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one grandchild, two sisters, one brother and stepson, Jimmy Shepard. She worked for Knauf Fiberglass for 26 years until her retirement. Mrs. Shepard looked forward to yearly vacation to Las Vegas. Her grandchildren always had a very special place in her life. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 29, 2016, at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 30, 2016, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville. Funeral Directors Greg, Sheila and Stuart Parks are honored to conduct the services for Mrs. Shepard.
