She was born November 17, 1932 in Bristol, Va., a daughter of the late John Walter and Willie Hazel Christian Neal.
Edith was a member of Paperville Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry J. Adams Jr.
She is survived by her daughter, Cindy L. Adams; sons, Larry A. Adams and Jeffrey D. Adams and wife Pam; grandchildren, Blakeley Adams Lewis and husband Josh, Chilhowie, Virginia and Brady Adams; great grandson, Cayden Williams; sister, Mary Ellen Carroll; and brother, Bobby E. Neal, Florida; Step Son, Thomas Harrigan, Johnson City, Tennessee; Step Grandsons, Jonathan, Johnson City, Tennessee and Brian, Texas; several nieces and nephews.
The graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 30, 2016 at Crumley Cemetery with Dr. Allen Davis officiating.
