Sarah Christine Lamb Nichols, age 78, of Brownwood left her earthly home to join her Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 25, 2016.

Sarah Christine Royall was born an only child, to Charles Eugene Royall and Virgie Bullard Royall on January, 13, 1938, in San Saba, Texas. When she was a young child they moved to Brownwood.
Sarah attended school in Brownwood. While in high school, Sarah was a member of the Acapella Choir. She worked behind the ice cream counter at the Corner Drug Store. Sarah graduated from Brownwood High in 1957.

She met a young blonde haired blue eye boy, named Joe Dale Lamb, and their courtship began. Joe enlisted in the Army in 1954 and was sent to Germany during the Korean War. Sarah patiently awaited his return home. They married on October 7, 1956 in Sweetwater. This union brought forth three children: April, Michael, and a son, Charles, who passed away at birth. Sarah worked at the sewing factory in Sweetwater until her and Joe moved back to Brownwood in 1965. She worked at the glove factory until she and Joe moved to Coleman in 1967 and they lived there until 1971.

Sarah went to work at the Glamour Shop in 1974 in Brownwood; she worked in several departments until she became a full time seamstress. She retired from the Glamour Shop in 1996.

She lost the love of her life in March of 1977 with the passing of her beloved husband, Joe Dale Lamb. Sarah later met Marvin Nichols and they were married on November 6, 1989. Marvin passed away on October 15, 1997.

Sarah is survived by her daughter, April Gray and husband James of Brownwood; son, Michael Lamb and wife Judy of Early; Mike Schultz, whom she loved and considered her own; grandchildren, Tiffany Gray, Mary King, and Joseph Gray all of Brownwood, Perry Lamb of Early, Elizabeth Lamb of Early, CJ Lamb and wife Mynda of Brownwood; great-grandchildren, Aayden Gray, Courtney and Brittany King, and Adalynn and Abbigail Lamb. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Virgie Royall; son, Charles Benjamin Lamb; first husband and father of her children, Joe Dale Lamb; and her second husband, Marvin Nichols.
