Clyde T. Spear, 71, of 656 Rossville Ave., died at 2 p.m. yesterday in Clinton County Hospital after an illness of several months.
Mr. Spear, born Aug. 17, 1900, in Thompkinsville, KY, was the son of William and Sarah Spear. On May 5, 1923, he married Edith Vinard, who survives.
Spears was a retired Nickel Plate railroader. He moved to Frankfort at the age of 19.
He is also survived by a son, Max L. Spear of Lebanon; two daughters, Mrs. Alva Haynes of Phoenix, Ariz. and Mrs. Arthur P. Allen of Frankfort; one brother, George Spear of Frankfort, 10 grandchildren annd 8 grandchildren.
Services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at the Eller Chapel with Rev, Earl L. Roustio officiating. Burial will be in Bunnell Cemetery.
