Dorothy returned to Burlington, Vt. following the war and enjoyed working with her father Arthur Edward Looney, Sr. at The Looney Furniture Company.

Dorothy, with her late husband, owned and operated the well-known and respected, Dan J. Casey Furniture and Design Company. Mr. & Mrs. Casey felt honored for the privilege to serve many wonderful and loyal patrons, friends and family of Greater Burlington, the State of Vermont and beyond.

Following Mr. Casey's untimely death in 1963, Dorothy continued her interest and talents in retail sales, design in the furniture industry and ladies boutique apparel for three decades until her retirement.
