Sheryl (Goad) Smith, age 48, died unexpectedly Saturday, September 24, 2016 in Stillwell, Oklahoma, after years of battling severe brittle diabetes.

She was born July 18, 1968, in Fayetteville, Arkansas, to John Goad and Glenda (Jamerson) Goad Everhart.

She graduated from Greenland High School in 1986.

Sheryl was a member of Sang Avenue Baptist Church and was strong in her faith. Even though she became limited because of her health, Sheryl was a very social person with a giving heart and loved to be surrounded by her friends. Sheryl's life was too short, but those who were touched by her understood the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Goad; and her stepfather, Richard Everhart.

She is survived by her mother of the home, Glenda Everhart; three sons, Tyler Smith, Trenton Smith, and Trevor Smith, all of Fayetteville; two sisters, Teresa Goad Kolb (and her husband, Denny) of Fayetteville, and Jeanné Everhart of Fayetteville; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Memorial arrangements are pending.
