He is survived by Janet and a daughter Jill (Brad) Burkard, son Jack (Sheila), son Ted (Lynn), granddaughters Rachel, Amanda, Paige, Catherine and grandsons Shawn, Tyler, and Teddy Jr. and two great granddaughters Kayleen and Addison. He was preceded in death by his brother Judd (Doris), sister Elaine (Sy) and sister Rhoda.
Following Jerry's graduation from Brooklyn Technical High School in 1951, he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After his discharge he received a basketball scholarship from Bowling Green State University, where he was also on the tennis team. He graduated in 1957 with a major in accounting and began working for Marathon Oil Co. where he eventually became Manager of the Computer Organization. While employed he graduated from Harvard University's Graduate School for Advance Management. He served on the Findlay City School Board for 8 years , was President of Findlay Amateur Hockey Assoc., Vice Pres. of Hancock Recreation Center, a 3 year manager of a Little League Baseball team, Chairman of Marathon Oil Company, Employee Political Action Committee and a twice leader for United Way. His final occupation after retirement was a realtor for Caldwell Banker Real Estate Agency.
There will be a private military graveside service. Dunn Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
