Donna J. Goodwin, age 76, of Geneva, passed away Monday, September 26, 2016 at Central DuPage Hospital, Winfield with her family by her side.
She was born September 11, 1940 in Chicago, the daughter of William and Henrietta (Kahn) Then.
Donna was an employee of Dominick’s, Geneva for over 15 years. She also was very involved in the community serving as girls’ softball coach for Geneva Park District, sports booster and supporter of the music and athletic programs at Geneva High School, volunteer at Delnor Hospital and a girl scout and brownie leader. She was very charitable to a variety of organizations and was an excellent role model for her children and all who knew her. Donna loved the Cubs and her faithful dogs, Sam, Ruby and AJ. She was a loving mother and friend and will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her children Brian of Geneva, Jan also of Geneva and Jim of Elburn; and many other dear relatives and friends.
Donna is preceded in death by her parents and loving husband John who passed away in 1989.
Funeral service for Donna will be held Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 10:00 am at Geneva United Methodist Church, 211 Hamilton Street, Geneva, Rev. Richard Darr, officiating.
Interment will follow at Garfield Cemetery, Campton Hills.
Visitation will be held Friday, September 30 from 4:00-8:00 pm at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Route 38), Geneva.
