Sherry Diane Dean Simpson was born on Christmas Day, 1956 and passed peacefully from this life on September 25, 2016, leaving behind her father, Leon Dean of Coleman, Oklahoma, and preceded in death by her mother, Dora Mae Workman Carpenter of Durant, Oklahoma; survived by her husband, Garry Simpson of Pottsboro, Texas; her two boys, Brian Travis Estep of Aptos, California and Bradley Dean Estep of Austin, Texas; two daughters-in-law, Gwen Estep of Aptos, California and Iris Estep of Austin, Texas; her granddaughter, Adriana Victoria (Avi) Estep; three grandsons, Austin Nathaniel Estep, William Hill (Billy) Estep and John Phillip (Jack) Estep; and two step-daughters, Makenzy Simpson and Sammie Simpson of Pottsboro, Texas; three sisters, Rhonda Nail of Denison, Texas, Nancy Vincent of Tom Bean, Texas, and Tammy Gibson of Denison, Texas; two brothers-in-law, John Nail and Ben Vincent; nieces Kalli Nuncio, Katie Tipton, Ashley Logan, Sara Vincent, Shannon Nail, and Ashley Gibson; nephews Jordan Gibson, Logan Nail, Connor Gibson, Tristan Gibson, John Palmer, Roy Nuncio, Michael Logan, and Tanner Donihoo; great nieces and nephews Ryan, Jacob, and Cruz Nuncio, Bella and Brandon Palmer, Ryder Logan, Ian Gibson, Hunter Donihoo, and Liam Nail; her life-long friends John Estep, Michael Adams, Lana Dusek, LaQuita and Jerry Shipman, Judy Thomas, Yolanda Titchenal, Kim Pingleton, June Adams, and a host of friends, family, and loved ones. Her spirit will be carried on through the music she loved, the lives of her children and grandchildren and generations to come, her artistry in interior decorating, her love of travel, singing, and girls’ trips.
A Celebration of Her Life will be held in Denison, Texas at The Venue, 519 Main Street, Thursday, September 29th at 2:00 p.m. with Michael Logan officiating and song tributes by Brian Estep, Ashley Logan, and Ben Vincent.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorials in her name to the ALS Association, American Cancer Society, or PTSD Foundation of America.
