Interment will follow at the Joe Boothe Cemetery, under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home-Jonesville. Kenneth was a beloved husband, father, and friend. He ran to meet Jesus on the evening of September 26, 2016. He was loved and respected by many. Kenneth was blessed to be retired at an early age, from the Army Corps of Engineers which allowed him to enjoy his family and the outdoors more fully the last few years. He was a sportsman and commercial fisherman at heart & he was always ready to tell you about his time spent on Rawson Creek & at the Boothe Camp in the hills. Kenneth was born in Jonesville, LA, on November 13, 1956. He was preceded in death by his father, Otis “Tucker” Clayton Boothe, his mother, Marilyn Tolbert Boothe Nobles,as well as father-in-law, Luther Ray Lewis. Kenneth’s legacy will live on through his cherished wife of 41 years, Connie Marie Lewis Boothe; 3 children, Ethan Kenneth Boothe of Dallas, TX, Elijah Kencade Boothe and wife Chandice Boothe, and Kate Marie Boothe both of Harrisonburg; a very special granddaughter Aubrey Rose Boothe; sister Sheila Dean Boothe of Harrisonburg; brothers Clayton Dale (Sharla) of Alexandria,LA; Colin Otis Boothe (Kathy) & Michael Rory (Sharon) both of Harrisonburg,LA; a host of nieces and nephews. Kenneth is also survived by his best friend, hunting and fishing buddy Curtis Dale Roark and wife Denise of Enterprise and special family members Max and Rita Andrews. There are also many Dixie Youth players that will remember what he taught them on the ball field. Kenneth was a family man, and if you spent enough time around him, he would love to express his pride in his children. He was quick to let you know that Ethan is a physician in Dallas, Elijah is a Nurse Practitioner, and Kate Marie is a Spanish Teacher. Kenneth would always say “always remember where you came from and why you go to church.” He was a man of character, integrity & of God. We take comfort in the words of sweet little Aubrey Rose "Jesus is taking care of Paw Paw".
