Marilyn V. Lynch, 82, of Fairmount passed away at 1:05 a.m. Sunday (Sept. 25, 2016) at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

Marilyn was born on April 25, 1934 in Homer to Edward and Mary Frazier White. Marilyn married Russell Lynch on July 12, 1953; he preceded her in death.

Survivors include two sons, Kenneth (Jennifer) Lynch and Kerry (Brad Hurt) Lynch; two daughters, Julie (Steve) Price and Joni (Bill) Markel; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Angie McKenzie and JoEllyn White and several nieces and nephews.

Marilyn was also preceded in death by one son, Keith Lynch; one daughter, Jayne Lynch; her grandson, Brandon Markel; great-granddaughter, Macey Duewer and two brothers, Jack White and Fred White.

Marilyn was a graduate of Homer High School and attended Illinois Business College.

She retired from the University of Illinois Beckman Center after 24 years.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fairmount and loved her family. Marilyn enjoyed helping people; as an example, she read books for many years to a visually impaired gentleman in Champaign.
