Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Georgene; three sons, Earl of Pleasant Lake, Alan (Mary) of Rumley, MI, and Vern of Pleasant Lake; one granddaughter, Rachel; mother, Nelle Hudson; three brothers, Paul, Art, and Wesley; one sister, Barbara Slack; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Stanley. Bud served in the Army from 1952 to 1955, during the Korean War, and retired from Simpson Industries after 32 years. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services. For those who wish memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Jackson/Oaklawn.
