Andrew Elvin Babb, age 90, of Batesville, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2007 in Ash Flat. Born April 28, 1917 in Cleburne County, he was the son of Luther and Lily Babb.
He was a retired laborer from Arkansas Lime and an inspiration of character and strength to many generations and was of the Church of Christ faith.
Survivors include two sons, Laverl Babb of Pleasant Plains and Johnny Elvin Babb of Batesville; seven grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Augusta Babb and one daughter, Catherine Slisher.
Services are Saturday, May 26, 10:00 a.m., at the Campground Methodist Church in Bethesda with Nathan McCarroll officiating. Burial will follow in the Campground Cemetery under the direction of Willis-Hays Funeral Service of Batesville.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Andrew Babb, Christopher Slisher, Vincent Bossi, Marc Bossi, Larry Lawrence and Steve Dyer.
Honorary pallbearers will be the kids of Bethesda he helped raise.
Visitation is Friday evening from 6-8 p.m.
