Helen was a graduate of El Reno High School. She worked as an insurance agent for Ashbrook Agency in El Reno and retired from John Imhoff and Associates Insurance Company in Norman. Mrs. Norris was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Military Order of the Purple Heart, and the Canadian River Cruisers Car Club. She was a collector of Honey Bee dishes and dolls. Helen loved the color purple, flowers, roses, and Elvis Presley. She was also an avid fan of the OU Sooners and the Texas Rangers.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Bobby Swagerty.
Survivors include her husband Charles “Chuck” Norris of the home; daughter, Debbie DeMoss of Yukon; son-in-law, Daniel DeMoss of Yukon; grandchildren, Justin Cole and Logan DeMoss; granddaughter-in-law, Heather Ford; great granddaughter, Laci Cole; brother, Berle Swagerty of Topeka, KS; sister, Mary Vietzke of Pauls Valley; sister-in-law, Marilyn Vincent; nephew, Matt Barnes; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Wed. September 28, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Trinity Baptist Church, 1200 E. Rogers, El Reno, OK with burial to follow in the El Reno Cemetery.
