Marilyn was born in Washington, DC on February 15, 1945 the daughter of Oliver J. and Mary S. (Snyder) Gwin both deceased. She graduated from Wheatfield High School, class of 1963, she went on to Indiana State University where she graduated with a BS in teaching. She received her Masters Degree from ISU in 1970. Marilyn married the love of her life, Riley Ray Stone I on June 25, 1967 at DeMotte United Methodist Church in DeMotte, Indiana. He preceded her in death in 1988. Marilyn taught at the DeMotte Elementary school for 21 years, retiring in 2006. She was affiliated with the DeMotte United Methodist Church and attended Nazarene. She was involved in many church activities. She was an NEA life member and most recently attended Brookside Free Methodist Church of Kokomo.
Marilyn is survived by her loving children: Riley R. Stone II of Kokomo; Deanna Stone of CA; caring daughter-in-law Scherry Stone; her grandchildren Allyssa Stone and Riley R Stone III, and a sister Diana Gwin of FL.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
