Mrs. Hazel Causey Stroud, 84 passed away Sunday, September 25, 2016. She was born November 18, 1931 in Horry Co. SC daughter of the late Corbie and Creannie Grainger Causey. Mrs. Causey was a retired employee of Thomasville Furniture Ind. with her retiring December 31, 1993. She was a member of New Grace Baptist Church.
Hazel was married October 7, 1950 to Emory Cleo Stroud who preceded her in death February 14, 1986.
Surviving are, one daughter, June Price and husband John of High Point, NC; one son, James Steven Stroud and wife Dena of Asheville; two sisters, Mrs. Linda Rheuark and Mrs. Mary Rheuark and husband Paul all of Thomasville; one brother, Tommy Causey and wife Barbara of Loris, SC; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at 11:00 AM in J. C. Green & Sons Chapel in Thomasville with Rev. Donnie Lunsford officiating. Interment will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.
