Michael Edward Burnette, age 63, of Knoxville, went home to be with the Lord September 25, 2016. He was a member of Chilhowee Hills Baptist Church and a loving father and grandfather. His daughter and two grandchildren were the light of his life.
He was preceded in death by his father, Mayford Burnette; mother, Mary Lou Burnette; and brother, David Burnette. Survivors include his daughter, Lori Ann Hensley and husband, David; grandchildren, Owen Edward Hensley and Stella Ruth Hensley; brothers, Ronnie Burnette and wife, Nancy, and Phil Burnette and wife, Mary Kay; aunts, Lucy Peltier and Lois Large; as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 p.m., Thursday, at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel, with funeral service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Family and friends will meet at 9:45 a.m., Friday, at Lynnhurst Cemetery, for interment service at 10:00 a.m.
