Erma I. (Berkshire) Massey passed away September 25, 2016, at Tri Point Health Center. Born August 2, 1922, in Morgantown, W.Va. to William and Pearl Berkshire, she was an Ohio resident since 1949.
Mrs. Massey was a member of Painesville United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Paulette (Bob) Chandler of Mentor; sons, Grant (Pat) Massey of Strasburg, Ohio, David (Marsha) Massey of Perry and Charles (Roxann) Massey of Painesville; daughter, Debbie (Mike) Holin of Mentor; grandchildren, Mark (Mary) Turner, Michelle Anderson, Cortney (Josh) Cassidy, Julie Massey, Grant Lee Massey, Brian (Emily) Massey, Sarah (Bob) Arrighi, Patrick Massey, Doug (Amanda) Massey and Mike Massey; great grandchildren, Breanna Turner, Avery and Ezra Anderson, Kyle Cassidy, Ashlee and Braden Massey, Owen Massey, Ireland Audrey Massey, Seth and Elizabeth Bowyer and Harley Kirtlan; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis E. Massey; brother, Paul Berkshire; sister, Phyllis Skinner; and great grandson, Caleb Anderson.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home, 368 Mentor Avenue (opposite Lake Erie College), Painesville.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev. Gerald D. Kalb officiating.
Burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery, Painesville.
