He was a life-long resident of Marysville and attended local schools and graduated from Yuba College and California State University, Chico.
Kevin started his career working in the Agriculture Department of Solano County, but quickly moved back to his beloved hometown of Marysville to work for their Agricultural Commissioner Weights and Measures in Yuba County. He was to work there for 29 years, most recently as an Ag Weights and Measures III.
He was a duck hunter in the fall and winter and fisherman in the spring and summer. He was always accompanied by his faithful chocolate Lab companion. Kevin was appreciated by many of his friends' children for sharing his love of the outdoors by including them on many of his hunting and fishing excursions. Eagle Lake was one of his favorite fishing getaways.
Kevin is survived by his beloved wife, mother, two brothers, and mother-in-law. He was a wonderful, caring uncle to 4 and great uncle to 5. Uncle Kev was indeed a favorite. He was preceded in death by his father, Gene Lambert.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Sierra View Memorial Park. A reception will follow at the Elks Lodge, 920 D Street in Marysville. Sierra View Mortuary is assisting the family with the arrangements.
