Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Betty Louise Gaston Lowe, age 76, of Pendergrass, who passed away on Friday, September 23, 2016. Mrs. Lowe was born in Toccoa, Georgia, a daughter to the late Walter Edward Gaston and the late Mary Elizabeth Andrews Gaston.

Mrs. Lowe had a lifelong passion for adding beauty and style to her surroundings, and the surroundings of her family, loved-ones, and friends. Her innate sense of design, decor, and color were readily evident in these frequent expressions of love; very few things were not made more beautiful, and tasteful by her loving touch. While she excelled at orchestrating the patterns, and hues, of our material surroundings, she found the most joy watching nature paint with the landscape as a canvas, flowers as the colors, and sunlight as the brush.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lowe was preceded in death by her sister, Martha Jo Pitzer, and her brothers, Walter Arnold Gaston and Oscar Felton Gaston.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Charles E. Lowe Sr., of Pendergrass; children, Rita Renee Lowe Stuck & (William) Stuck of Destin, FL, Charles E. Lowe Jr., of Commerce, Curtis L. &(Amanda) Lowe of Chamblee; sister, Gwendolyn Ann Nesbit of Winston Salem, NC, brother, Thomas Edward Gaston of Bethlehem; grandchildren, William Stuck II, Robert Stuck & (Olina), Joseph Stuck & (Bridget Burns), Amanda Stuck Dodek & (Brian Dodek), Evan Lowe, Eva Padgett & (Timothy J. Padgett); great grandchildren, Zach Stuck, Amalka Stuck, Sophie Stuck, Meli Stuck, Tyler Dodek and Ethan Dodek; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

A Memorial Service for Mrs. Betty Louise Gaston Lowe will be planned and held on a later date.
