Gary Wayne Hodges, Jr., 49, of Bassett, passed away September 23, 2016 at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville. Gary was born on November 12, 1966 in Martinsville to Eunice Austin and to the late Gary Wayne Hodges, Sr. He ran Lakeside Combat Club. He held a Brown belt in Brazilian Jui-Jitsu, the highest level achievable, a 2nd Degree Black belt in KRAV-MAGA and taught self defense in the community. He was a member of Bassett Rescue Squad. Surviving is his loving wife, Linda Denise Hodges; mother, Eunice Austin; brother, Barry Hodges.
Burial will be at Henry Memorial Park.
