Richard L. McAfee

OLEAN - Richard L. McAfee, a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, of Aspen Towers, passed away Saturday (Sept. 17, 2016) at Buffalo General Hospital after a short illness.
Born Dec. 2, 1941, in Olean, he was the son of the late Lorin and De Etta Benham McAfee. Dick was married to Mary Libby, who predeceased him.
He was a 1960 graduate of Olean High School and managed the Family Bargain Center for many years and was later employed by Quest Diagnostics until his retirement.
Dick was a life member of the Olean Elks Lodge 491. He enjoyed being around his grandchildren, playing cards and was an avid Buffalo Bills fan.
Surviving are his daughter, Kelly (William) Bruno of Eldred, Pa.; four grandchildren Ashley (Matt) Woodall, Kyle Hoffman, Mary Beth Edwards and Wyatt Skillman; a great-grandson, Levi; a brother, James C. (Pam Graves) McAfee of Cuba Lake; two sisters, Diane I. (John Skinner) Walsh of Hornell and Nancy M. Wells of Manassas, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents and a brother-in-law, Patrick Wells.
Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Olean.
