Jessica Renae Bunker Barton, age 21, born January 8, 1985 in Arlington, Washington, died suddenly in a tragic car accident on December 12, 2006 in Stanwood, Washington.
Jessi lived all her life in the Arlington and Darrington area and graduated from AHS in 2003. She was her mother's pride and joy, and Daddy's little girl. She had a special love of the outdoors and animals. After graduation, she worked at the Canine Country Club and would bring home pets that needed extra love and care. She loved her summers with grama and grampa Lantz at Lake Goodwin, a time of much fun and laughter and she was always looking out for special little sister, Carly. She married Jay Barton on July 3, 2004.
Jessi leaves behind for us her greatest gift in life, son, Austin, born December 28, 2004. He was her world. To him she was dedicated.
She was preceded in death by grandparents, Dean and Carlene Bunker of Oso, Cliff Taubeneck 'grampa boomer' of Ketchikan; Uncle Timmy Lantz of Marysville; and high school sweetheart, Nate Wiedman of Darrington.
Jessi is survived by her husband, Jay Barton and son Austin of Lakewood, Washington; parents, Dawna Taubeneck of Arlington and Kris Bunker of Oso, as well as Jimmie Walker, Jr. of Sedro Woolley; little sister, Carly Bunker of Arlington; in-laws, Elmer and June Barton; brother-in-law, Nate Barton and wife, Daniole; godparents, Bob and Marlya James of Florida; grandparents, George and Marie Lantz of Arlington, Jim Walker Sr. of Oroville, Washington; grandmother, Sandy Williams of Sedro Wooley; Aunt Kelly Bunker and Uncle Harold Main of Oso; Uncle Kurt Bunker of Deer Lodge, Montana; Uncle Ed Taubeneck and wife, Marybeth of Lakewood; cousins, Jacki and Jeni Taubeneck, and Scott and Drew Bunker.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m., December 22, 2006 at Weller Funeral Home, 327 N. MacLeod Avenue, Arlington, with a graveside service to follow at Arlington Municipal Cemetery, then a memorial gathering at the Boys and Girls Club, 18513 – 59th Avenue N.E., Arlington, WA.
