Clarence T. Garrison, 80, died March 31, 2010, at Indiana Masonic Home in Franklin. He was a resident of Greenwood.

Clarence was born Sept. 23, 1929, to Clarence F. and Lenora (McCombs) Garrison in Anderson, Indiana.

He married Carol Privett on June 7, 1951. They were married for 59 years.

He was employed by Indianapolis Newspapers Inc. for 45 years as a pressman, retiring in 1993. After retirement, he was a driver for Eye Specialists of Indiana in Indianapolis for 10 years.

He was a U.S. Air Force veteran.

He was a 50-year member of Whiteland Jubilee Masonic Lodge and a 50-year member of Whiteland United Methodist Church. He enjoyed playing golf and walking his dog, Winston. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Carol Garrison of Greenwood; three daughters, Cindi (Larry) Christian and Christi (Dave) Bridger, both of Greenwood, and Connie Fleming of Whiteland; a sister, Helen Schardin of Pennsylvania; five grandchildren, Corey (Rheagan) Christian, Heather (Mark) Noesges, Nicole (J.C.) Mitchell, Joshua (Dawn) Helton and Zach Fleming; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Mary Marler; and two brothers, James Garrison and William Haynes.

The Rev. Joe Wyatt will conduct a memorial service at 2 p.m. Saturday at Whiteland United Methodist Church, 309 Main St. Friends and family may call from noon until service time Saturday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Indiana Masonic Home Alumni Fund, 690 State St., Franklin, IN 46131; or the Alzheimer's Association, 50 E. 91st St., Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46240.
