PENFIELD - Russell O. "Roscoe" Vaughn, 60, of Penfield died Thursday (July 22, 2004) at Country Health Nursing Home, Gifford.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church, 200 S. Century Blvd., Rantoul. The Rev. Robert Freeman will officiate. Burial will be in Ludlow Cemetery, Ludlow.
Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Lux Memorial Chapel, 1551 E. Grove Ave., Rantoul.

Russell O. "Roscoe" Vaughn. 60, of Penfield, died Thursday, July 22, 2004 at Country Health Nursing Home, Gifford.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 26, 2004 at First United Methodist Church of Rantoul, 200 South Century Boulevard, Rantoul. The Rev. Robert K. Freeman will officiate. Burial will be in Ludlow Cemetery, Ludlow.
Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. Sunday July 25, 2004 at Lux Memorial Chapel, 1551 E. Grove Avenue, Rantoul.
Mr. Vaughn was born, August 20, 1943, in Monticello, a son of Dennis and Mae Louise Arthur Vaughn. He married Karen Beede on June 8, 1963. They later divorced.
Survivors include his father of Gifford, a daughter, Tammy Quinlan of Rantoul a son, Rusty Vaughn of Rantoul, a brother, Charles Vaughn of Paxton, two sisters, Elsie Stiles, of Bossier City, Louisiana, and Dixie B. Huls of St. Joseph. Two granddaughters, several nieces an nephews, and special friend, Sheila Bruns and was preceded in death by his mother.
Mr. Vaughn graduated from Rantoul Township High School in 1961. He worked at Roger's Chevrolet in Rantoul for 20 years. He currently worked at the Rantoul Township High School, where he been since 1983. He also worked for the Penfield Water department and was a volunteer fireman in Rantoul for 10 years.
He was on the Penfield Board of Trustees, volunteered annually at the the I & I tractor show, and was an avid Cubs fan. He enjoyed working in his yard, his favorite pass time.
