Services for Gordon I. Henslee, 83, of 105 N. Chruch st., will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Trostel-Chapman Funeral Home, New Carlisle.
Mr. Henslee, who served as New Carlisle police chief from 1932 to 1961, died Saturday afternoon in his home.
He was born July 11, 1889 near Harmony, the son of Peter and Phoebe Gordon Henslee.
Survivors are a son, Earl of Pensacola, Fla., and a granddaughter, Mrs. Charles (Gretchen) Dimon of Ellerslie, Ga.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Jesse Seeker, pastor of the Ohio Missionary Church, will be in charge of services Wednesday.
Burial will be in New Carlisle Cemetery.
