Sharon Ann Armstrong, 74, of Urbana, Illinois passed away at 4:15 a.m. on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at Champaign County Nursing Home in Urbana, Illinois

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Foosland, Illinois. Renner-Wikoff Chapel and Crematory, Urbana, Illinois is in charge of arrangements.

Sharon was born on November 16, 1941 in Wamego, Kansas to parents Isaac and Carol (Thompson) Tyler. She married Roger Armstrong on February 14, 2005. He passed away on January 11, 2011. Also preceding her in death was her first husband James Catlin and four siblings; Thomas Tyler, Alice Whitman, John Tyler and Douglas Tyler.

She is survived by her brother Lewis “Tobie” Tyler (Roxan) of Brookfield, WI, sister in law Sue Tyler and many nieces and nephews.

Sharon was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Urbana, Illinois retired from Meijer as a cashier and had been a member of the Citizen Band of Potawatomi since 1983.
