JEAN McGUIRE
AGE 92 YEARS
Jean (Podolske) McGuire of East Harwich, formerly of Dedham, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife for more than 60 years of the late Lofts (Mickey) McGuire, former Principal and Athletic Director in the Dedham Schools.
Jean was born in Dedham, daughter of the late John and Mary Podolske, and was raised and educated there graduating from Dedham High in 1941.
She was the sister of the late Eleanor O'Brien and John (Buddy) Podolske. She is survived by her sons and their spouses,
Jeffrey and Barbara McGuire of East Harwich,
John and Susan McGuire of Harwich,
Jay and Sandy McGuire of Norfolk
and the late Dr. James McGuire and his wife Linda of Westboro.
She is the cherished Nana to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mrs. McGuire lived in Dedham for 84 years before moving to East Harwich in 2008.
She was an active member of St. Mary's Church in Dedham.
Interment in Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham.
