Bill was born January 14, 1927 in Ickesburg, son of the late Charles W. and Florence M. (Smith) Dupert. He was also preceded in death by a son, William G. "Billy" Dupert, Jr., his siblings, Charles Dupert, Merle "Pete" Dupert, Frank Dupert, Bertha Peck, two wives, Anna Zeigler, Barbara Wright Dupert and a companion, Pauline Sharar.
He was a Korean War Army veteran.
He was formerly employed at Johnson Motor Company, Loysville and Hall's Dairy Cream, Millerstown.
He was a member of the Millerstown Moose 925, Fraternal Order of Eagles 1299, Newport VFW Post 34, American Legion Post 177, Owls Club and the former Newport Moose.
Surviving are his wife, Stephanie A. (Sechrist)Dupert, his children, Alice M. Beasom, Port Royal, Terry W. Dupert, Sr., New Bloomfield, Charles D. Dupert, Pennsylvania, Wesley E. Dupert, Elliottsburg, Teresa A. Mitten, Shermans Dale, David W. Dupert, Pasedena, MD., his siblings, Pauline Flick, Ethel Orris, Dorothy Jacobs, Idella Hench Gladys Dupert, all of Ickesburg, Deborah Sharar, Shermans Dale, Rev. Clarence "Joe" Dupert, East Berlin, Ralph Dupert, West Virginia, Kenneth Dupert, Newville, Robert Dupert, Shermans Dale, Ronald Dupert, Sr., Landisburg, his former wife, Annabelle (Hench) Dupert of Elliottsburg, 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, March 30, 2016 in the Nickel Funeral Home, 3626 Shermans Valley Road, Loysville, Pa. 17047. The funeral service will be held 1:30 PM on Thursday, March 31, 2016 in the funeral home with a viewing from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM with the Gary Bellis officiating. Burial with military honors by the Perry County Honor Guard will be in the Restland Cemetery, Loysville.
