Son of the late William Andrew and Martha Estelle Rawls Haislip, he was preceded in death by a brother, Hubert Haislip, and by a sister, Margie Blanche Haislip Ange. He was survived by his wife of 44 years, Barbara Glisson Haislip; daughters; Elizabeth Haislip West and Allison Haislip; granddaughters, Bethany West and Jeri Lynn West; brothers, The Rev. Curtis Haislip and The Rev. Edsel Haislip; sister, Norma A. Winders; and an extended family of relatives and friends. His funeral was held on July 10, 2015, with The Rev. Rick Manning officiating.
