Jennings: It’s with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Violet Louise Titus announces her passing from this life on September 2, 2016 at the age of 68. Violet was born in Pendleton, OR to James Titus and Hailey Jane Reed Titus on January 31, 1948. She worked for Winn-Dixie in the Deli/Bakery for 17years. Violet loved to read and visit with family and friends. She also loved animals. Violet was a member of The Daughters of Rebekah. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Violet is survived by numerous cousins, Ruth Ann Klumpp of Basile, LA, Heloise Butler of Jennings, LA, Allan “Sonny” Reed of Jennings, LA, James “Jimmy” Reed of Lafayette, LA, Elda Ray Boseman of Jennings, LA, and Ellen Taylor of Sulphur, LA.
Violet was preceded in death by her parents, James and Hailey Titus.
Funeral Services will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home Chapel in Jennings on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 1:00 PM with Reverend Brian Wells and Reverend Mark Broussard officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held at Matthews & Son Funeral Home in Jennings on Saturday, September 3rd from 9:00 AM until the time of her service at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at a later date in Abshire Cemetery.
