Harold Lee Kirkpatrick, 63, of Fort Wayne, passed away at 8:51 a.m. on Thursday, September 22, 2016 in Fort Wayne.

Mr. Kirkpatrick was born on February 20, 1953 in Wolf Lake, a son of Frank and Alice (Powell) Kirkpatrick. He spent his formative years in Churubusco, and attended Churubusco High School. After high school he joined the United States Marine Corp.

He is a retired carpenter.

Mr. Kirkpatrick was a member of Churubusco American Legion Post #157.

The surviving relatives include his five children, Shirel (Steve) Martin, Paul (Chandra) Butler, Adam (Tricia) Kirkpatrick, Nicole Kirkpatrick, and Aaron Kirkpatrick; two brothers, James (Bonnie) Kirkpatrick and William Kirkpatrick; three sisters, Gloria (James) Maggart, Mary Beth (Thomas) Bangs, and Sharon (Michael) Geiger; 17 grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Alice (Powell) Kirkpatrick, and a brother Donald Kirkpatrick

Funeral services with Military rites will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, with Pastor Lane Burgland, officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, or one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be held at a later date in the Eel River Cemetery, Allen County.
