Carolyn Sue Pearson, age 71, passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2016.
Sue was born April 14, 1944 in Fayetteville, Arkansas to Dewey and Marie Whittemore.
She was a long-time resident of La Habra, California.
She is preceded in death by her father, Dewey Whittemore and daughter-in-law, Karen Pearson.
No one who met Sue left without her being their mom, grandma or great friend. She was the kindest and most loving woman to everyone she met.
She worked at the front desk at the Washington County Health Department for many years and loved greeting people. Sue had a special place in her heart for children and loved spending time with all her great-grandbabies. She was a member of Eastside Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her mother, Marie Whittemore of Brea, California; her brother, Stan Whittemore (and wife, Linda) of La Habra, California; her son, Gary Pearson of Springdale; her daughters, Kelly Pearson, and Karna Cowan, both of Fayetteville; two granddaughters, Kirsta Pearson, and Katie Cowan, both of Fayetteville; two grandsons, Ken "KC" Cowan of Farmington, and Allen Cowan of Fayetteville; six great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Leonard Hulsey of Fayetteville; and granddaughter-in-law, Danielle Cowan of Fayetteville.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 26, 2016 at Beard's Chapel.
Interment will follow in Boatright Cemetery under the direction of Beard's Chapel.
The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 p.m., Sunday, September 25, 2016 at the funeral home.
