He was born March 25, 1874 in Madison county to Mr. and Mrs. August Bergman. He never married. He was survived by 3 sisters: Mrs. Anna Werkmeister, Mrs. Lena Werkmeister both at Madison; Mrs. Minnie Harkrader at Norfolk; 2 brothers: August at Stanton, Henry at Council Bluffs, Iowa. His mother died in 1935 and had been living with a cousin Mrs. Wilma Graves after the death of his mother until the past three years. He was preceded in death by his parenrts, 1 brother, 1 sister.
