David Cassell Dobson, 65, of Cassell Road died Friday September 9, 2016 at his residence. Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late James Arthur Dobson, Jr. and Elizabeth Cassell “Lib” Dobson. He was a Liberty High School Graduate and also earned an Associate’s Degree from Tri-County Tech. He loved farming and going to auctions and was employed with Little-Woodall. He was a lifelong member of Flat Rock Baptist Church.
Surviving are his longtime companion, Pam Summey of the home, a sister, Mary Stratton(Rand) of Gaffney; a nephew Greg Dobson(Jennifer); a niece, Jennifer Dobson; a great nephew, Grady Dobson; a great niece, Abby Dobson; an aunt, Carolyn Shirley and her family; 2 special cousins, Foy Prichard(Joel) and Linda Robinson(Lewis); and numerous other close relatives.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a brother, James R. “Jim” Dobson.
A memorial service to honor the life of Mr. Dobson was held at 3:00 PM Friday September 16, 2016 at Flat Rock Baptist Church. Visitation was one hour prior to the service in the sanctuary.
Liberty Mortuary and Cremation Services handled arrangements.
