Born November 3, 1913 to Victor Russell Fisher and Jennie Cecil Tucker Fisher in the farming community of Oxford, Idaho.

Died June 1, 2004 at her home in Salt Lake City.

Attended schools in Oxford, Downey, and Dayton, Idaho. After high school, she moved to Salt Lake City, where she met Sharon T. Tanner, who she married in the Salt Lake Temple. Together, they raised five children.

She was a respected member of the staff at the U. of U. Biology Department for twenty years, working for seven department chairmen and with scientists and professors noted world-wide.

Her lifelong mission was to provide loving care for her beloved disabled son, Chaddie. She also had great joy in church service, including as a Salt Lake Temple worker.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, husband, sons, Russell Fisher Tanner and Sharon Thatcher Tanner, Jr. (Chaddie); sister, Lula Cecil F. Savage; and brother, Russell Fredrick Fisher. She is survived by her children, Karen T. (N. Roger) Hawkes, John F. Tanner (Jack), and Barton F. Tanner; brothers and sister, Alta May F. Christensen, Erma Lucille F. Frandsen, Mildred Bell F. Toone, Bessie Tucker F. Eads, Stanley Allen Fisher, and Richard Daryl Fisher; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. in the Hawthorne Ward Chapel, 806 East Roosevelt Avenue (1455 South). Family and friends may call on Friday, June 4, 2004 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple Street, and prior to the services at the church on Saturday from 9:00-9:45 a.m.
Interment: Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
