Anna Louise Chappell, 95, formerly of Grayville, Illinois, died Friday, September 23, 2016, at Oakview Heights Continuous Care and Rehab Center in Mt. Carmel, Illinois. She was born February 12, 1921, in Wabash County, Illinois, the daughter of Henry and Sarah (Miller) McNew. She married Rolla Chappell on December 23, 1942, and he preceded her in death on December 28, 1992.

She was a homemaker and member of the Asbury Chapel in Mt. Carmel, and a former member of the White County Home Extension.

Survivors include her brother Richard McNew of Security, Colorado; sister Marjorie Cessna of Olney, Illinois; several grandchildren; and great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter Wanda Griffin; brothers Woodrow, Lawrence, Gene, Jiggs, Ralph, and Charles McNew; sisters Mary Reeves, Katherine Baxter, and Phyllis Houser.
