Mrs. Hallie Rupel
Mrs. Hallie Smith Rupel, 95, of 59449 Keria Tr., died at 9 a.m. Monday in Memorial Hospital after a two-day illness. She was born on July 16, 1872 in Oregon and had lived here most o her life.
On Dec. 14, 1893, in south Bend, she married Ernest B. Rupel, who died in 1945.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Williams C. Gammons and Mrs. Cilfford G. Dunphy, both of South Bend; a grandchild and seven great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 7 p.m. today in Welsheimer Funeral Home where services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday with Rev. Richard Thistle of the First Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Bowman Cemetery. Mrs. Rupel was a member of the church.
