Christine Dwyer Jenkins, 94, of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Thursday, September 22, 2016 at her residence. Christine was born on Saturday March 24, 1922 in Butler County, Kentucky to the late Will and Lillian Moats Dwyer and was wife of the late Clyde Jenkins. She was a member of Morgantown Church of Christ, a retired teacher from the Butler County Board of Education, and a member of the Retired Teachers Association. Other than her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by one daughter - Linda Weldon, her step mother - Versie Lowe Dwyer and one brother - Kermit Dwyer.
Christine Dwyer Jenkins is survived by two daughters: Mary Johnson and husband Mark of Frankfort, KY and Jane Yokell and husband Dan of Nashville, TN; two grandchildren - Eric Johnson and wife Victoria of Nashville, TN and Kristen Johnson Roberts and husband Keith of Frankfort, KY; three great-grandchildren Brady and Andrew Roberts of Frankfort, KY and Mason Johnson of Nashville, TN; sister-in-law Jean Dwyer of Morgantown, KY; one nephew Paul Dwyer of Bowling Green, KY; one niece Patricia Saylor and husband L.G. of Morgantown, KY and several great nieces and nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel on Monday September 26, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. with Bro. Brian Eadens and Bro. Roger Worley officiating. Burial will be in the Hill Haven Memory Gardens.
