Tamaqua, June 30 - Edward L. Zimmerman, 64, of Tamaqua R.D. 3, died yesterday in the Coaldale State Hospital, where he had been a patient since February.

Born in South Manheim Township, Schuylkill County, a son of the late George K. and Kate (Fichthorn) Zimmerman, he was a retired farmer.

A member of the United Church of Christ, Zimmerman is survived by his widow, Anna (Oldt) Zimmerman, and a son, Robert Zimmerman, USN, Norfolk, Va.

Two daughters: Martha, wife of Rudolph Balas, and Bertha Zimmerman, both of Tamaqua R.D. 3, and two grandchildren and three sisters: Mrs. Ida Noecker, Centerport; Mrs. Lillie, Reber, Mohrsville, and Mrs. Sara Neidlinger, Schuylkill Haven; five brothers: Alfred, of Bernville R.D. 1; Wesley, of Schuylkill Haven;; William, of Ardreas R.D. 1; Walter, of Tamaqua R.D. 1; and John, of Orwigsburg.

Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Harvey Hill residence at Snyders, the Rev. Arthur W. Kleintop Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Christ Union Church Cemetery, McKeansburg. The Hill Funeral Home, Rehrersburg, has charge.
