Marcia was the daughter of Fannie & Joseph Tarsky of Springfield, MA. She leaves behind her loving husband of 57 years, Roger. She was an amazing and devoted mother to her 5 children; she was "Grammy" to her "luscious" 4 grandchildren, and she was a sister.
Marcia lived a joyous life. Her gift was making everyone she met instantly feel happy and at ease. Always sharing a laugh, a smile or a story about her family, her infectious and boundless energy brought happiness to every person she touched. She faced life's difficulties with tremendous strength, humor and grace, and fully enjoyed and appreciated its many gifts.
She was the ultimate wife, mother and friend, and throughout her life she generously donated her time and financial resources to countless charities and people in need. Just prior to her recent illness, she was proudly manning her 4pm post as a volunteer at the Pan-Mass Challenge and supporting her son Rob, who rides each year in support of Marcia's previous bout with cancer.
The funeral service will be held at Temple Shir Tikva, 141 Boston Post Rd., Wayland on Sunday, September 25. Burial in the Beit Olam East Cemetery, 42 Concord Rd., Wayland. Memorial observance immediately following the burial at Temple Shir Tikva. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in memory of Marcia Davis to support cancer research and patient care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284 or via www.dana-farber.org/gift.
